Exeter's food & leisure hub

Exeter's Historic Quayside is a popular hub of activity for both locals and visitors alike. Not only does it have a fascinating past, but its characterful architecture and thriving pubs and restaurants provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the area at your leisure. There is a vibrant event schedule throughout the year, featuring everything from live music to a deep-water diving extravaganza and a 10km Santa run.

The Quayside is the ideal place to browse antique shops, walk and cycle, take a relaxing boat trip or find something good to eat – not to mention take a cookery class. Whether you're looking to have an amble while nature watching, or perhaps something a bit more active, such as paddle boarding or canoeing, you’ll find something for everybody down on the quay.

The Quay has an eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars, where you can enjoy good food and great company. Take the weight off your feet to do a bit of people watching, or just take in the delights of this tranquil setting.

We have already welcomed some exciting new businesses to the area, such as North Barbers and Topsham Brewery, and we are looking forward to having a new restaurant just a stone’s throw from the cookery school with the arrival of Mitch Tonks’ keenly awaited fish and seafood restaurant, Rockfish.
